Terms of purchase

These terms apply to purchases from the seller named at the top of the page: places on woodcarving courses, and the pattern for the acanthus clock as a digital file.

Woodcarving courses

Enrolment and payment

The full course fee is paid by Vipps or card at enrolment. The enrolment is binding, and the place reserved, once the payment is confirmed. A confirmation with date, time, venue and what to bring is sent by e-mail.

The fee covers tuition, the use of tools, and material for the work done during the course. Travel, lodging and meals are not included.

Cancellation by the participant

The course fee is not refunded on cancellation. The place may be transferred to another person at no cost: send the order reference and the new participant’s name and contact details to rolf@taraldset.org.

Illness gives no right to move the place to another course, but where a later course has room, a transfer may be agreed.

Cancellation by the seller

A course may be cancelled if too few enrol, no later than 21 days before the start, with a full refund. If a course is cancelled for other reasons, the participant chooses between a place on a later course and a full refund.

Refunds are made to the payment method used. Travel, lodging and other costs arranged in connection with the course are not covered.

Right of withdrawal

A course is a leisure activity on a specified date and is exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal, cf. the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, section 22 (l). The cancellation terms above apply instead.

The clock pattern

The pattern is a PDF of the clock at full size, 1:1, paid by Vipps or card at ordering. The clockwork is not included.

Delivery

The pattern is delivered as soon as the payment is registered. The download link is shown on the receipt page and sent by e-mail, and is valid for 30 days. A new link can be issued on request.

Licence

Every copy is stamped with the buyer’s name and order reference. The licence terms are printed in the dial of the drawing:

• The pattern is licensed to one person.
• The pattern may not be shared, transferred or resold, neither physically, digitally nor in adapted form.
• The licence permits the making of individual pieces carved in wood based on the pattern, for private use or as a gift, not any other physical or digital making, and not commercial exploitation.
• When publishing photographs, film or the like of finished work, Rolf Taraldset shall be credited.
• Breach of these terms ends the licence.

Files derived from the pattern are covered by the same terms. Selling work made from the pattern requires prior agreement with Rolf Taraldset. The pattern is © Rolf Taraldset.

Right of withdrawal

The pattern is delivered digitally and immediately. When ordering, the buyer consents to this and acknowledges that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost, cf. the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, section 22 (n).

Complaints

Complaints are sent to rolf@taraldset.org. If no agreement is reached, the matter may be brought before the Norwegian Consumer Authority, or, for buyers in another EEA country, the European Commission’s ODR platform.

Norwegian law applies, without limiting the mandatory consumer rights of the buyer’s country of residence.

Changes

These terms apply from 10 September 2026. A purchase is governed by the terms in force when it was made.
